What Customers Say About Social Roost Downtown St Petersburg

Hubby and I went to Social Roost for brunch and stayed for 4 hours!  This place has been on my radar for a while…he went there for dinner with some friends a few weeks ago and raved about it. Brunch was no different!

I started with a Blueberry Hibiscus mimosa and he enjoyed some of their delicious Kahwa coffee. I ordered the Eggs Royale (biscuit topped with collard greens, grilled salmon, perfectly poached egg, and delicious, bright hollandaise, served with a lovely side salad) and he went for the Pork Belly Hash (3 generous portions of perfectly cooked pork belly served with home fries and a side of sambal for dipping).  Both entrees were amazing! I wasn’t sure about the salmon Benedict, but it was absolutely incredible. Everything worked so well together – the flakiness of the salmon with the creaminess of the egg and the sweet collards on the fluffy biscuit…every item worked well by itself and was so tasty all together…highly recommend! Hubs ordered a Jet Setter cocktail halfway through the meal and I quickly understood why he called it one of the Top 5 drinks he’s ever tried…coconut, pineapple, amaro, lime, and cinnamon – creamy, not overly sweet, and absolutely delicious!

While we waited for the check we decided that we just weren’t quite done with the place and we moved to the bar! There, we proceeded to enjoy several more cocktails…each one better than the last! I honestly cannot say enough good things about their cocktail skills. The food was absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to try every other item on the menu. But the cocktails…they are truly on another level. Even the ones we tried that were “off menu” were still so creative, so different, and just insanely good. We had a great time hanging out at the bar and chatting with Chris and Erin. Cool peeps! Awesome vibes! Very much looking forward to our next visit!!!
